I've been very happy with my CZ Rami 9mm. I use a Crossbreed holster and with the 10 round mag it's easy to conceal.

I do prefer a handgun with replaceable grips and an alloy frame. I also carried a XD9sc for years but prefer a bit smaller package. It's within your budget and it's the most accurate compact I've shot.

I have tried alot of guns and carry methods. Here is what works well for me.

Taurus 851 (JFrame) in a mika pocket holster
Glock 26 or 27 in a IWB Crossbreed super tuck holster.

This is a great combination, it that took me awhile to find what worked for me.

There is no easy answer as there are many different sizes of guns, holsters and people.
