Which 1911 to buy??

Lots of options around that price point. New Springers, used Dan Wessons. As mentioned, CZ if you're after GI.

I have a Churchmouse tweaked Range officer in 45

A SS loaded in 9mm that has a trigger job. Done by me but supervised by AllenM

A GI Milspec that had a complete over haul by AllenM including a new Kart Barrel

They are all very nice guns. I would put the GI Milspec up against just about any Dan Wesson, Wilson Combat or other high end guns.

When you put the right parts in the gun with the proper attention to detail the results are amazing.

You need to shoot a few of the ones I have recently finished.

I just got a Ruger 1911 from rural king it was on sale but regular price is under 700. No complaints so far. My buddy has a springfield government 1911 that is awesome. But you're looking at over a thousand at least then.

What's your budget? Is it just a range toy or will it serve another purpose?

As far as budget, Id like to stay under a thousand but I'm not set on that. Just want dollar for dollar the best 1911 around that $1000 mark. Thanks for the quick reply

I've been seeing a lot of Colt and Kimber 1911's that are quite expensive. Do u get what u pay for or are u paying for that name.

I agree, but I have to say it is one of, if not the best fitted GI model I have ever picked up.
