Dude, hands down the ruger sr9/sr9c I have both and love them. If you carry the 9c is it. The magazine disconnect safety can be easily removed. Go to the gunshop and hold one.

I am starting to think I have narrowed this down some.
Sig P220, P220 Carry, P220 compact.... oh yeah.

I am going to introduce the Mouse to a fully Cajunized CZ 97 in the near future. We'll see what he thinks.

    Fully... Cajunized.... 97? :faint:

Man I'd love to see that. My 9mm Yin to .45 Yang in pistols is getting a bit out of balance on the Yin side. I think a 97 will bring harmony to the safe again.

I would love to get together and shoot. I have to order a few parts for the 97. I am returning it to DA/SA from SAO. I also am putting night sights on it replacing the F/O. I hope to have this done in a few weeks.

I will put in another vote for CZ.

    I have had a 75BD, 75B, 97, 83, P-01, CZ-40, and a Compact. They have all been great.

I bought my first BD brand new for $285. That was 16 years ago.

When are you and Churchmouse getting together? That would be a cool afternoon hanging with a couple INGO legends. Of course I could bring 1911s and CZs to play with. And maybe even a Glock just to mess with the mouse. Lol.

That certainly applies to CM. We haven't been able to work that out yet. Hopefully before the snow flies.

Best line? I'd have to say Smith & Wesson. Love the Third Generation autos and as far as I'm concerned it's the only company that has ever made a worthwhile revolver.

Just to update this. I went with the M&P 9 and 9C. The 9C was bought from an INGOer and the 9 was from a LGS. The 9C has the Apex trigger, the 9 is stock. After putting roughly 250 rounds through them over the weekend, I must say I feel like I made the right decision. Both guns fit my hand very well. Both guns have hardly any recoil (compared to my 40S&W). So far I am far more accurate with the FS, but I still enjoy shooting both.

As a kicker, my wife handles them after I got home and commented on how much easier it was to rack the slide on these, and thought they both felt good in her hand.

For me, the best line of double-action pistols is Kahr. Their ergonomics and triggers are among the best. When you consider price, they are the best.
