First of all, there is a legal mechanism to beat these cops. It's called a lawsuit. Violence in this situation is not only foolhardy, it's excessive.

Second, Sun Tzu says to not engage in a fight you can't win. If you want to try your odds in this circumstance, it's your funeral, hero.

The cops never lose in a lawsuit, the taxpayers do and then it's business as usual.

    I watched the whole thing.

Driver was a bit of a douche with his attitude, but I don't think he was out of line by refusing to hand over his gun.

He sure didn't ask "am I being detained" when the officers were laughing at their gathering. He kept prompting the officer holding the gun trying to spark a battle. That cop was pretty mild mannered given all the prodding.

"am I being detained? Am I free to go? "

Multiple times I asked, while watching this, " why don't they just write him a ticket and get on with their day"

    Sheesh

This is just one more example of why, at least in states where you are not required to inform, you should not volunteer any information about firearms in your possession. The last couple times I've been pulled over, they didn't ask and I didn't tell.

A legal CCW permit holder and yet they still run the serial# of the gun. Thats just proof that they despise the fact that people can legally carry and they are looking for any reason they can to arrest.

Licensed hunters steal.... so why can't licensed gun owners?

Because, contempt of cop has consequences, the guy had to pay for his insolence.

I think there is supposed to be a thing about "unreasonable search", "probable cause", "exigent circumstances", or "warrant".

Do they pull people over and verify if someone's cell phone is stolen?

Do cell phones have a body count attached to their intended use?
