My wife found the receipt one time for an unauthorized Glock purchase. Not a good conversation. Oh and that time she saw the credit card statement after an AimPoint purchase. Good news is I am still here.

I have an agreement with ANY females I am "with" ..... If I am the only one working, when the bills are paid, MYOB, about what I spend MY money on .....

If we both work, then we split the bills, and what "we" spend her/my money on is agreed upon .....

B4 anyone says anything, I have been married more that once..... NUFF SAID .....

The 1911 is a "martial artist's" handgun? Not even. The 1911 is the easiest gun to shoot that I have ever used. I competed and taught with a 1911 for many years and it will always be number one in my book. As an NRA Instructor I taught self defense classes for years (many of which were women only) and none of those ladies had any trouble shooting and hitting with a 1911 on their first day on the range. To tell the truth - once you got them checked out for safe operation with a 1911 you couldn't hardly get them to put it down. They LOVED it. It was amazing to watch. FWIW, I have also shot and competed with DA revos for many years - they DO require diligent practice to become proficient with. Also FWIW, I have never competed with a Glock. I shot one of the first Glock models introduced back in the 80s and have never fired one since. I still cannot understand or believe how popular they are except for the fact that people love to buy whatever law enforcement is currently using (not a good reason). Top heavy, unbalanced with LOTS of muzzle climb and the trigger feels like a cheap staple gun (compared to a 1911).:puke:

Unrelated stats? Respectfully request you re-read the post I was responding to. :)
I can read it, re-read it, destroy you with your own premise and then get you to apologize for even posting it, but I am not going to do that. If you feel the need to prove the correlation between your post and the one you were responding too, go ahead. I got your original intent, but you didn't prove anything.

My time traveling Glock Commandos are rock solid.

    :dunno:

    But I get his point.
Yes, but in a 1911 thread I expect, no demand facts. Asking a question is not presenting of facts. I can play that game all day. If we let the pseudo 1911 intellectuals just fly by, we hurt them more then we help them.

That my friend is the true difference between 1911's and Glocks. We Glock owners are guilty of caring too much.

Meanwhile people buy revolver carbines that shoot .410. Crazy, sad world.

I don't have a 1911 at the moment. I need to get another one. Reasons?:
    They're ultra reliable
    They are dead nutz accurate
They make almost anyone look good.
They are very easy to shoot well.
    They truly hate commies.
They kill people D - E - D, ded. (I had to spell it that way so the Glock boys would understand )
    Oh, and John ****ing Wayne....

P.S. and Col. Jeff Cooper, too. :p

Be careful there BA. 1911s are also extremely sexy to the opposite sex. If you go out sporting a 1911, you'll end up married and then you will no longer have the life that many of us secretly want. You'll have to re-learn phrases like 'Yes dear' and 'Of course those pants don't make you look fat' or, the ever popular, 'No, this is not a new gun. I've had this for years.'.
