      Wow, same ammo Walmart was selling for $7.99/20. That's a 43% markup. Still better than the buck a shot some places are selling for. I guess it's the price you have to pay these days, pretty sad!

      45 ACP ammo in stock

      Saw some Winchester White box for $42/100 at Bass Pro yesterday, and picked up a couple of the same at Meiers for $38/100 since Bass Pro was out of .451 FMJ bullets for reloading. 45ACP seems hit or miss like most everything else these days.

      Looking for good .45 under $400

      Several options out there, he can get new RI or ATI 1911's for under $500. A Glock, S&W M&P, or a Springfield Armory XD will run you at or just over $500. Depends on the style of 45ACP he wants.

      I'm not an expert in this stuff, but I would assume if a weapon is used in a crime, the BATF would contact the Mfg. with the serial no., and start to follow the trail from Mfg, to Distributor, to Dealer to Original purchaser and so on. I'm sure they went to the Dealer that your buddy sold the...

      I know Glock calls the G30 a sub-compact, but in my opinion it's more like a compact in physical size. G30, G30s, G30sf, or G36 are your only options at this time.
