Welcome to SHOT Show 2008 . . . In other news, Stoner/ARES beat 'em to it by about 20+ years ;) Modern Firearms - Ares FMG / folding submachine gun

      The Best Bad Shooters.

I think there are some folks down here that would make you eat those words . . . from either 25 yards or 1000 yards ;)

      Knob Creek + rain

Reminds me of a theory a friend has. Says there are two types of weather at the Knob Creek Shoots: - Mojave Desert - Mud Boggin' Fun Fest

Even the "Gunny" gets scope bite

Saw both episodes last night. Love the show, but in watching Gunny shoot . . . I can definitely tell he's more at home on the line at Camp Perry rather than in a bay at the 3-Gun Nationals.

      The Best Bad Shooters.

Agreed. Many of the shooters (not gun owners) I've seen at organized matches (USPSA/IDPA) were on par with those I shot with in Indiana. However, the personalities down here are lacking compared to IN guys I shot with at Riley. Now, I will agree that public ranges are scary places. The range...

      Ar-15 Sniper

Indeed they are, the KAC M110 Semi-Auto Sniper System (SASS). It's probably what you could consider the next generation of the Mk 11 Mod 0/1/2 series that the Navy has been using for years (since long before I got in to the gun culture). It's quite a honey of a gun.

      Ar-15 Sniper

Aside from the Mk12 Mod 0 and Mod 1, there are a couple others: Big Army has the Squad Designated Marksman program along with the Squad Designated Marksman Rifle which is an M16 with a new 1-in-8 20" SS Barrel (Douglas I believe), Match 2-Stage Semi-Auto Trigger, DD M4 free float rail system...

      G22 or G23 for uspsa

In addition, there's no real competitive advantages to shooting 9mm in Production Division (9mm scores the same as if you're shooting .500 S&W Magnum) and ammo costs more. FWIW though, you can reload some pretty dang soft shooting 40 and .45 as well. I think some .45 at Minor PF, I could...

      Steel Match on Independence Day

Bah! There's a USPSA match in town that day. To prepare yourself, I'd suggest locking yourself in the car with the windows up.

      2009 Indiana USPSA Sectional Championship

I'll try and make it next year . . . you up for a road trip? Been awhile since I got my butt kicked in the Hoosier State instead of the Retiree State.
