I agree. Shoot 1/2 a case thru it, and look at things again. I have a C39V2 with about 2,000 trouble free rds thru it. Dirty Wolf and Tula. Eats it all up good. Other than initial inspection at purchase time, I never even took it apart to clean it until 1,500 rds. You will definitely love...
You could find someone that's new to shooting and has a 40 cal, and give it to them. Meet or take them to the range.
Seriously though, as a reloader, I have ran my own copper plated rounds thru many pistols including SIGs, Glocks, XDs, Shields, and a 1911 with no issues. Literally a 5 gallon...
.358 Winchester. Cases trimmed to 1.78. Still enough mouth left to seat the bullet. It's a compressed load, as the case is filled to the brim with Varget. I shot a big doe with it last season at 240 yds. She made it about 10 ft, and it was over.
cross breed super tuck. Horsehide leather option. Beltman belt. Kydex insert. 3:30 - 4 o'clock carry.
Great at weapon choice , btw. The P228 is a classic.
It's not the tube. It's the primers. They are out of round. I've had the same thing happen several times. I just pitch the primer that clogs up the rest and move on.
I agree. Andrew is the go 2 guy for reloading. I attended a class in his home approx 5 yrs ago, and have been addicted ever since ! If anybody in NE IN needs advice or help, I will gladly volunteer to advise. Just let me know.
Speaking from my limited experience (only been reloading 5 yrs, only approx 20k rds reloaded so far) a single stage would be the way to start. It will engrain the basics in your mind and memory. I started on a Redding Big Boss II. It is an awesome press and very heavy duty. I was in Andrew's...
This is why INGO and this forum exists. I praise everyone who has offered you their help and advice. My experience with H110 has only been with my Ruger 44 mag rifle. A few tenths of a grain difference makes a BIG difference on POI. Be careful and work up slowly.
Although it was pricey, my Giraud trimmer is some of the best money I've ever spent. Buy once, cry once.
They do make individual trimmers that go into a drill now also. Same technology, but much cheaper. You might want to check them out
CB supertuck. Spend the little extra coin to get the horsehide backing. Wear and carry for 6 mos, and it will mold and form to you, and your weapon, like an old baseball mitt or a pair of shoes. You won't be sorry.
