      I use a single stage so can't help on the powder but here is a 55gr fmj next to a 90gr vld for your viewing pleasure. I need to take a picture with a better backdrop but you get the idea.

      Realistic cost of a 'budget' build-your-own AR?

      Depends on what you want. Last summer we built a few for just under $400. We got PSA complete uppers with bcg and charging handles for $280 shipped. $45 for Anderson lowers locally. $40 for Lpk's. $20 cheap buffer tube kit, and $7 butt stocks.       I was able to talk to someone there. It sounds like orders are closed for this year but they bought extras of the smaller ones. They will be shipped to the northern side of Fort Wayne. They are hoping for to receive them late June to early July but Berger cannot guarantee any delivery times.

      I was recently looking at budget red dots and was settled on the Vortex Sparc AR for what looked like a good product and great warranty but decided to go with low power scope at the last minute.
