If I was the customer, I would never go back. I appreciate and support local gun shops when possible, but I also know what's on par as far as transfer fees are concerned.
IF I was the manager and decided to take that avenue regarding transfer fees, I would have inquired as to what the gentlemen...
Looking for an inexpensive 22 rifle barrel. Doesn't matter if it's short, long, or long rifle, as it'll be cut back and rechambered.
I missed out on a few cheap ones on ebay (around 20 dollars shipped), so I'm hoping someone has one laying in the scrap pile they'd be willing to get rid of...
iirc, none of the off-the-shelf 22 ar's are interchangeable with standard configuration ar's.
I'd either buy/build a dedicated 22 upper, or look into the cmmg conversion bolts for a standard ar.
I'll be sure to try that weight next time. The rounds I used were free, so i'm not really sure what they were. A friend had them sitting around after he traded away his 9mm, so he let me shoot 'em up.
I know the 3913 and a 1911 aren't even close to similar. lol
Anywho, took it to a friend's place today and put a box through it. The trigger takes a lot of getting used to. I, my girlfriend, and my friend (who shoots trap on a national level) were all struggling to hit a 12" steel target at 20...
Well my other gun in rotation is a 1911, so if I could have them both as similar as possible in operation that'd be beneficial to me. Sounds stupid, I know, but it makes sense to me.
couldn't you buy the registered thing, and build something in leu of an oil filter on the front of it?
i.e. build a suppressor around that registered thing, since the rest is "replaceable parts?"
EDIT: Just read Kenny's post about exclusively designed parts. Herrrrrrm.
If you can find a Smith and Wesson 4040PD, that'd be my choice, and a gun that's pretty high on my wish list.
EDIT: the 4040pd isn't a steel frame. it's Aluminum/Scandium. Just wanted to be clear.
That bag was 3 bucks, but had a lot of stuff that was unusable for me. I'm staying outside Knoxville, TN, currently (I jump back and forth between TN and IN) and there's a Tandy leather store about 40 minutes away from me, but I just couldn't justify the drive for something I was probably going...
