      The thing with fishing reels is you get what you pay for. If you don't spend at least 100.00 for a reel, your not going to get a very good one. I prefer ABU Garcia Orra reels.       If you want a good pair buy Costa Del Mar. Lifetime warranty. It cost 11.95 to ship for repairs. I have had a pair 10 years, broke the arm off, sent them back and had a new pair in 2 weeks. But the best reason to buy them is the quality of the polarization.

      It really does not matter as long as you are comfortable. Fish don't care which hand you use. I have 14 baitcasters all right hand. I cast right and reel right.

      Carry it at least 10 miles or it will come back. I trapped about 25 at my last house and could not get them all. Good luck. Cat food works best for bait.

      A good knife sharpener for a newb

      You can also look at the Lansky kit. I have had one for 25 years and it will put the right edge on for the knife. It has 3 or 4 angle settings for each type of knife blade.
