I wish I had kept a record from the early years. I remember my first reloads were 38 special about 1987. I looked up the data, through them together and the next day pulled them apart. In hindsight they would have been fine. Decided to read as much as I could before doing it again. It's not so...
I'm not a gunsmith but I have been a welder since October 1982. IMO INGarand has the best fix. Heat not a great idea on hardened steel. If it were me I would locktight a screw in it and let it dry. Then I would cut it off 1/16 ish long and peen it enough to hide the the thread at the surface...
I don't have my reload log with me right now but your numbers sound like the only thing I could get a bag of armscor seconds to fly strait. Straightish, Ar 20" 1 in 8. As I recall I was getting 2-3 moa.
I just found out about this yesterdayish. I'm off on Saturday and planed on attending. I remember this movie called innocents betrayed that spells out why people have guns. I wish I had the ability to explain to anti gunners that having guns actually keeps them saver. The armed American citizen...
I had the same question last September. My EDC is a G19, I bought a G43 and an ankle holster while attending my sons wedding. The HST sounds like what the dealer I got the 43 from recommended. Now that I think about it I don't think I ever shot the 43. I bought my wife the G42 a few years back...
I've been casting .45 200 swc sized to .452 range magic @ 14.3 bn without trouble. The loads are mild to normal depending on which pistol I'm shooting.
I think we are missing the reason we carry. The ONLY reason we carry is to keep someone from killing us. If you get pushed down... stay down. Shut up walk away tuck your tail between your legs. Run if you can whatever. The only reason your pistol comes into play is if you don't you die.
I pin tumble my brass...but... its a pain. Luckly the ss pins can be picked up with a magnet or I wouldn't do it. With pistol brass I tumble in walnut then size and decap then into the pin tumbler. When draining the water I have to make sure I have a magnet covering the drain as I have a flush...
Your not the only one that has done this . I had a bunch of 9 mm in the oven at the lowest temp possible 150 ish? My daughter wanted a pizza and cranked it up to 400 and they changed color. I pitched them. Easier to sleep that way.
I,m impresed at the amount of people that carry extra mags or a bug. I daily carry a para lda 45 only 7 rounds. Only carry a spair mag if I am forced to go somewhere Im uncomfortable.
I,m told Indiana residents arnt able to apply for an out ofstate Illinoisccw yet. Their working on it. Oh and yess I,m 57 miles one way to work. And worth every mile to come home to Indiana where things make sense.
Keymaster just made my day. Maybe there is hope. I know there are a lot of good cops out there. But is there enough to overcome the bad ones. I try not to have any interactions with LE but all it takes is a finder bender .
With Chicago being as anti gun as they are it will be years before they realise good guys with guns is a good thing. With their residents just getting their ccw,s I'm guessing they will cherry pick every bad encounter they can to make it look like a mistake.
Understandably. I am scared that they will trump something up just to send a message. Unfortunaly I work in Chicago every day. Makes me Love Indiana more every day.
