I went with a 20" Odin Works barrel on my first build several years back. Turns out it is a heavy barrel and I would not enjoy packing it around for hunting. As far as target shooting it is great. I would suggest an 18" for a do all gun.
Thanks. The 10 round rotary mags are interchangeable between the two rifles which leads me to believe they would be shaped similarly on the bottom part of the stock. I'm going to try and get my hands on one this week.
Are you talking to my wife? Ive shot clays about 10 times in my life. This was a first for sporting clays. I didn't think it was that bad considering I was told it was a difficult course. Several 50-60yard shots. Fixed choke
Shot my first sporting clays course Friday afternoon. Managed to hit 44/100 with an old 870 Wingmaster. Unfortunately that has flipped the switch for me to purchase my next gun. There are so many options out there.
Looking for a 22 rifle in the above configuration has been very tough to find. It looks like Marlin produced a variety of these in the XT series but I cannot seem to find one for sale online. Other than that I have seen much older rifles like a Winchester 72A, Mossberg 146, and Remington 512...
***SOLD** I have a brand new in box scope that I originally planned on putting on an AR pistol but ended up staying with Vortex. Bushnell AR Optics 1-4x24 FFP with 30mm tube. Will ship for free. Located in Perry County and do travel to Greenwood about once a month...
Looking for scope mount suggestions as the title states for a Henry H012G Big Boy 44Mag. I have came across the regular mounts and also the Talley mount/rings. Does anyone have a preference or used the latter?
Link to the Talley mount and rings...
I have a 20" Odin Works, 18" Faxon , and a 12" PSA. They all work as they should. My only advice is having the bolt matched to the barrel. I've been out of the building game for a few years unfortunately.
Using the Hornady Leverevolution but still having some issues because of reasons listed above. The folks on marlinowners.com have recommended filing the extractor, but I have not got around to it.
It looks like his model is missing that "hood" as shown in pictures. I've not been able to find much info on it or able to take it to a gunsmith.
As far as the purchase of a new lever gun, I believe we are leaning towards a newer Henry Big Boy with both the side loading gate and tube. It seems...
This is exactly what we are on the hunt for. Gunshops in a 100 mile radius are all having a very tough time getting any Henry’s in stock, let alone the model we are looking at. Thanks!
