Ive done a few of each kind with my drill press, and while the ploymer was definitely easier, the sides started to bow in after completion... Making the trigger group stick and hard to even remove. Very weird. Not sure if it was the manufacturer or something I did wrong. But the aluminum ones...
Agreed. The online reviews and forums are what really pushed me to the G43. And there seems to be some hate on the xds line. But it was a winner for me.
I was set on a G43 until I got to play with one side by side with an xds and ended up going with the xds in grey, just got it. Better sites, higher cap, felt a lot more solid. Sure some of that can be changed on the 43 but the xds was pretty great out of the box. May look into a PRP kit to...

Have had black, fde, and od. Black always looks decent but everyone has, fde seemed kinda pointless around here (though I still liked it), OD is most functional for me and I think it looks awesome with black parts, mags, etc. OD!!
Those prices are coming down though is what I was trying to say. When I got mine, the same time in 2013, I got a good deal at a little over 2k through a group buy opportunity when they were going for 3,500+ but now you can have an M6IC basic for 1600, shipped. Or an M6A2 for 1300. I think if...
