      PPK/s went full auto

thanks for the link. As as an aside, once the shock and danger were over, it was pretty freaking awesome.

      PPK/s went full auto

Went to the range today. Fired 3 mags through my Interarms ppk/s .380 before switching to some different handguns. After a while, I went back to the ppk/s loaded a mag, fired one round fine. Pulled the trigger again and the gun fired a full auto burst of 5 rounds. It startled the crap out of...

Mother and Daughter did not use Father's pistol to defend themselves.

I must have edited my post at the same time you were posting. I'm fairly certain my wife would arm herself if possible. She hasn't gotten over her fear of guns, but has gone to the range and knows what to expect when it goes bang.

Mother and Daughter did not use Father's pistol to defend themselves.

nowhere near enough information to make snap judgments. We don't know the layout of the home. The mom and daughter were upstairs. The thief was in the living room. Do you have to cross the living room to get to the kitchen? Seems like the OP is being a bit rash. edited: Perhaps not the...

do you keep a separate gun in your car?

Perhaps not, neither was mocking me before presenting a reasonable argument. :)

do you keep a separate gun in your car?

I suppose one could say it's better to have a safe in the car than to not.........but once the car is stolen, it doesn't matter if the gun is in a safe or dangling from the rear view mirror. It's gone, and in somebody else's hands. I can understand the school scenario. It's not plausible in...

Indiana Senator introduces bill for training requirements

There's a part of me that wants to come down on the side of responsibility and training.........but really, responsibility can't be forced onto someone. The above comment is all that really needs to be said. It's sad and scary that many people won't take the time to become proficient with...

do you keep a separate gun in your car?

Another reason I wouldn't keep a gun in my vehicle is because I'm afraid I'd forget it was there while loaning the car to my daughter or attending a school event. That's totally on me, but still.....it's a reason.

do you keep a separate gun in your car?

Because, locked in a car, in a safe or not they are very easily stolen. My safe is not removable without destroying my house in the process. Even a sturdy free standing gun safe is decidedly more difficult to remove from a house. A car can be easily stolen and a safe in a car is nothing more...

do you keep a separate gun in your car?

I did........I said I don't understand the concept. Because of that, I guess I'm easily "confused with facts" Yes, I live in Nappanee

do you keep a separate gun in your car?

lapdog is as lapdog does. If you have a comment of any value against what I posted, I'd love to hear it. Mindlessly rattling my chain while somebody else tries to make a logical argument against me is the work of a lapdog.

do you keep a separate gun in your car?

I agree life goes on, I just don't like the idea of anybody being robbed or shot with a gun I left in my own car. I guess it's just a personal preference. I carry on one me. When I get in the car it's on me and when I leave the car it's on me.

do you keep a separate gun in your car?

which facts are you talking about? The comparison was ridiculous This was a response to peashooter's lapdog.

do you keep a separate gun in your car?

Well, considering the fact that I don't live in a mobile home, my house isn't mobile......therefore, it can't be stolen like a car can be stolen. Since it can't be stolen, none of my guns can be taken from it unless the perps bring pneumatic jack hammers with them This was a response to...

do you keep a separate gun in your car?

I've never understood the thought process behind keeping a gun locked in your car. Cable safe, bolted safe, invisible safe.........It doesn't matter. When the vehicle is stolen, the gun is gone. Whether or not they can access it (and trust me, they can) doesn't matter. You now have a loaded...

Saw OC tonight and set him straight!

I don't think you see it from their perspective. He doesn't feel he needs a firearm because he feels like he's "providing for his own protection" with his own physical abilities. I don't think this perspective is intelligent, but it's pretty typical. I think it's important to understand this...

      South Bend Weekend shooting spree--again!

South Bend has always been a drug route between Chicago and Detroit. Much of the gang related violence is caused by temporary residents from people originally from one or the other location, or someplace very near them.

We don't care what the law says!

As far as I know, it is still perfectly legal to have a sign stating a no firearms policy at your business, you just can't be fired for it legally. Nothing illegal about the sign. I suppose the companies believe many employees aren't aware of their legal rights under the new law, and they're...

Pleasant encounter with an OCer while at work

Yet another ridiculous Hitler comparison. Jesus, does everybody that disagrees with you get the Scarlet "H"? That is pretty much what Hitler was really like. As to the comparison, Hitler's intent was to create a super race that would become his invincible army. That is a totally self serving...
