I've been trying to translate it... Serbian Bato = blow; Romanian daca = if

I hope to hear the true translation/story too...I did see somewhere it
translated into "audacious blow", but I'm most likely in left field.

I wish I still had the link, but there is a site that has a lot of the Yugoslavian stock art documented and translated.

Much of it is along the lines of what you say...indicating a very serious amount of force applied to the enemy. Usually there are unit numbers, names of loved ones, and often a lot of crosses and family coat of arms.

Re-threaded my Maadi barrel making it EVIL again :):
Got the stuff for the job from CNC Warrior.
    http://www.cncwarrior.com/comersus/store/c...sp?idProduct=46
Got the slant brake, the die, die handle, and die starter.

Need to pick up some cold blue to do the threads yet also need to install the retaining pin into the sight base.

I joined the 5.45 crowd. Many thanks to Sporter for his many, many answers; as well as Shooter521 for his direction as well.

This is a TGI 'Truck Gun'. Bulgarian stuff everywhere and I LIKE IT!

This thing is light, wieldy and in playing with it so far I think the construction is superb, much better than the Romanians WASRs I've owned before.

Gun looks good; let us know how it shoots! Oh, and I'd get that tack weld on the comp taken care of so you can remove the comp for cleaning if you plan on shooting that corrosive mil-surp ammo. Trust me.

I didn't realize that the comp would completely hinder cleaning! I'll try and get a quality welder to work on it for me!

I also need to read about good cleaning procedure as well!

He means remove the weld to be able to remove for proper cleaning.

However if the weld is cut then I suppose a 922r compliant part would have to added to make up for the muzzle device/threaded barrel (US Ak74 24mm brakes are available) (correct me if I am wrong someone on the compliance issue).

Nice looking rifle Mettle. Enjoy! Glad you joined the club.

There is a pin in the brake that originates in the sight tower; so, I'm guessing it won't walk off....? Removing the weld seems only proper though.

    My Draco!

I know, I know. It's a "pistol," but I figured it would get more love here.

Here's some "just outa da box" pics and some from the next day at the range.

    ^^^ note the "Big Grin!"

Here it is after Midway delivered the Krink-style brake and I stained the furniture. Also added a ghetto sling system that works surprisingly well.

wait a gosh darn minute............ I thought the TGI NoDak guns were a no go?!!

    https://www.indianagunowners.com/fo...nessee_guns_international_raided_by_batf.html

then they came out with a new, all bulgarian parts/bulgarian built gun which was built by ISD. All of their truck guns (both the classic and the 'truck gun') were made by this company and the NDS guns were gone I thought!?

Don't know how I missed this, I love showing off my AK. :D

Started with a Chinese milled Type 56 w/folding spike bayo demilled front end. Collected parts for about a year. Sent it all out to The Firing Line in OK to have a custom milled receiver made. Almost 3 years and $2K later I had a finished rifle.

The custom engraving copied from my receiver stub (well almost, serial # wasn't quite right :crying:):

IIRC, that gun is from one of the first batches TGI put out last year – well before the whole "truck gun" project was proposed, and before the ATF raid. It (and its twin) had been sitting on the shelf for several months when mettle decided he needed an AK-74. ;)

AFAIK, the other one is still there.

Got around to changing my Yugo slant brake to one made by CNC Warrior.
Man that old brake was a B to get off :):
    "aged" it after installation.
