"AND"..............with a bit of love they get better.
"AND" an after market barrel bushing they get more accurate.

I still don't know a ton about 1911's, but I think Ruger's "barrels and barrel bushings" are machined out of the same bar stock? I guess that's good.

Plus I've already done something that's probably sacrilegious to you. I threw on a set of Crimson Trace LG-401G's.

It is the fit of the bushing in the slide and the barrel to the bushing.
I have never seen a factory fit bushing on a mid level gun be that well done. Close enough sure. Good as it can be.......nope.

Good info CM. I replaced my factory bushing on my TRP which wasnt really sloppy with a 10-8 unit. Less than .001" difference between the barrel OD and the bushing ID and it turned the gun into a tackdriver that stacks shots. It was no slouch before but I replaced it when I replaced the flgr. $30 well spent.

One of the things I do to every 1911 I have. I get the oversize pieces and hand fit them. Takes a bit of time but like you say.....the results are amazing.
Do a good hammer sear combo (loose the MIM crap) and bingo.
