I continue to stock up on things that I use all the time anyway.

    Primers
    Mags
    Lowers
    Powder
    Projectiles
    Ammo

Stocking up is a smart thing to do if you can afford it. I don't carry a balance on my Credit Cards. I pay for what I buy.

Im not looking to make money off the people that aren't prepared, I'm looking to stay supplied. I will be able to be a blessing to others that are in need that couldn't prepare. If God trust you he will pour into you so that you can be a blessing to others.

yeah, reloading gear for me. Powder, primers, bullets.
I'm ok on ammo, mags, etc... Will pickup whatever deals I can find.
I have 4 lowers that I can't afford to build now. No rush to get them built anytime soon.

    switch to decaf there, chief.

i find it interesting that people are already inciting a panic- here and elsewhere. Yet every gun store is overflowing with guns, ammo and accessories.

Im not Native American but I will reply anyway.

I don't need decafe or anything else to see that all you are doing is mocking those that are getting prepared. If you don't want to that's up to you.

Nobody is inciting any panic here, just stating what they are doing.

A rose by any other name.

There's nothing wrong with stocking up on stuff. But if it takes an election to make you do so, then you're doing it wrong.

I never said that I'm only stocking up because of the election. Am I making adjustments just like others in the thread? Yep I sure am.

When a hurricane is still out at sea. The property owner batten down the hatches to reduce the chances of destruction to their property.
Some might have gotten caught without proper protection because of supply shortages.

If the hurricane shifts and doesn't come inland were the prepared foolish? I say no. Will they be prepared for the next time? Yep they sure will be.

    i don't understand this part

May I suggest to keep an open mind.

While I am also stocking up on ammo and mags.....and guns, what concerns me about the liar and the socialist is that I could imagine both of them doing a gun and ammo confiscation. What would stop them from entering everyones house and taking whatever they dont think we should have? I know the constitution/bill of rights would prevent that, but I don't think either one of them really cares about those documents.

I guess my real concern is between dogs that can sniff munitions and metal detectors, where am I going to hide things where they wont be found...

I'm done buying more firearms, don't need any more. I have just been casually buying more ammo and an occasional spare magazine or two. I refuse to get all "jacked up" this time around. I will not add to the feeding frenzy. :n00b:

I would probably hide some ammo in those dogs, to start with.

Same here. In fact if people get all "jacked up" again I will selling everything.

I shoot a lot of black-powder with my muzzle-loader and BP revolvers, not Pyrodex, but actual FFFG black-powder. Does anyone think actual BP will be hard to get if Hillary or Bernie get in office?

I am going to get 2 more stripped lowers just for the hell of it. Then get deals on reloading supplies. Maybe get a couple thousand 9mm projectiles and a few thousand primers. Grab some powder if the price is right. Nothing I must have but if I find a deal, I will jump on it.

    :)

lol Agreed. AFter the last stint, I learned my lesson. I've enough to get through another couple years before things 'normalize'. The primer, powder & bullets will help keep me over the top in that regard. Can't ever have enough, but reloading is was cheaperer than factory... I'm ok on factory, so I will focus on reloading

My son and I have been stocking up for a little while - about 20 years or so - when we find a decent buy, we buy in bulk, 10K of each primer, 8 Lb powder 1K bullets etc. We actually don't "need" anything. We have plenty of firearms, many K of ammo, enough reloading supplies for many more thousands of rounds. We have molds for many handgun and rifle calibers, a large quantity of lead, many lbs of powder and plenty of brass.

However we will go to Tipton GS this weekend and most likely purchase a few items. There is also a GS at Kokomo and Lafayette later this month and we will attend both. Normally I purchase a few rounds of ammo or some powder, bullets or primers when prices are reasonable...just cause.... Might even buy another gun...

I bought myself a stripped lower this weekend. It's been so long since I've bought anything requiring a 4473 there's a question that has been added since last time. Lol

I suggest people not buy anything now while everything is available and reasonably priced. That way, after people freak out and everything is expensive, those people can post griping about hoarders and sour grapes. I love those threads.

It's been said that if it's time to bury them, it's actually time to dig them up.

That would of course, entail a different level of prepping which is forbidden here
