Looks like this is the Ferguson thread. Nothing wrong with black people - but this country has a big problem with black sheep in the media.
Here is an update for those interested

Just found another reason NOT to change my avatar to my original. I am gonna ride this horse for awhile.
So without real facts only what has been reported in the media people are taking sides.
Time to exercise a little martini law.
That's a government I want to live under!
I, for one, welcome our boozy overlords.

I posted something similar in another thread, but obviously I support Officer Wilson's, and everyone else's right to due process. I will "wait and see" regarding the facts of this incident. If the facts seem to indicate that he is being railroaded (he hasn't even been charged with anything at this point), I support him.
If the facts indicate that he perpetrated a crime, obviously I will not.
I don't think it's necessary to wait all the way until a trial to start seeing where the truth lies, but as I type this, I don't have enough well-sourced information to go on. Taking a step back and waiting, would seem to be prudent.
One side is made up of people who heard an initial report and decided they knew exactly what happened. Another side is made up of people who are strongly reacting against that and, with very little more information, has also decided they know exactly what happened.
I'm left wondering why we have to choose up sides at this point. I'm on the side that wants the truth to come out and justice to be done no matter what.
There is a young man dead and that hurts his family and friends. There is a police officer who took a life and probably wishes it never happened and obviously he and his family are very concerned. Whether one was right and one wrong or both wrong, I can't judge right now and I refuse to.

It's getting something. I don't know that "better" would be the word that comes to mind though.
