I seriously doubt it, but then who knows. I evaluate each election as it comes around. I hope nobody here knows who they would vote for 4 years from now.

GARY Johnson.... Gary Johnson... Gary Johnson.... Gare E Johnson.. :rockwoot:

    8? Who's giving him 8.

I give him 4, if he wants 4 more, he'd better earn it!

If Romney wins, he'll be unopposed in the next primary. Then we'll hear the same song and dance about how we need to vote against the next socialist democrat candidate. Wash. Rinse. Repeat. Liberty is lost and statism grows.

Well lets make sure that Romney doesn't win then.

    Right over there!
So Romney can't inspire the independents who will decide the election against the worst President in history and somehow it's on the few million voters who cast a 3rd party vote.

Lol. This is such a fallacy.

Surely you were living during the early 90s. I voted for Perot. I've felt guilty about that ever since. Perot appealed to moderates and conservatives. Not so much to liberals. He did appeal to many pro-union Democrats though, but not so much that Perot cost Clinton many votes. Yes, Perot's ~20% siphoned many more votes from Bush than Clinton.

You never know. Independents aren't necessarily moderates. Independents elected Obama the first time around. Unless some bombshell story comes out against Romney, Obama will not get the guilty white vote again.

While I understand wanting to vote for someone who aligns with as many positions and views as you have, a vote for Johnson or Paul by an NRA member is a vote for Obama. I've weighed in on other threads regarding the upcoming election and have been told "at least my conscience is clear" or "I'm voting my conscience" or other similar comments.

Everyone is entitled to vote however they want to vote. And, I defend their right to do so! However, by voting for Johnson or Paul or a candidate other than Obama or Romney you, as an NRA member, are strengthening Obama's candidacy.

It's not about conscience, it's about principle.
I am not an NRA member, as they do nothing to protect my rights.

If you believe the NRA defends your 2nd Amendment right, then you most certainly should vote for Romney, as he'll protect it just the same.

look at the voting records. Such a disproportionate section of the population actually votes, that its hard to declare government legitimate, But when you say perot gave us Clinton, you assume that the people that voted for perot would have voted against Clinton, and that isn't at all provable.

I was alive but not old enough to vote and not old enough to even care really.

The math doesn't work and is explained well on this link.

What exactly has he done to earn a vote this go around?

Look at his past voting record, it is very closely aligned with John Kerry...

He voted for the Assault Weapons Ban! I'm for that!

That's then whole purpose of this thread, and the other two threads of a similar nature. He isn't my first choice.

if you vote that way you could be re-electing Obama by splitting the rep. ticket. I dont like Romny but he is a successful business man and if you listen to what people "who are not in the press" says he is honest. Clinton got elected because people voted for someone other than a republican so neither the republican or the wasted vote on the more moderate ticket won. You need to ask yourself can we do with 4 more years of Obama? The United States will cease to exist if he gets re-elected. Romney has the business background that can get us back on the economic road to recovery. The "enemy world" is not afraid of Obama, they know he is useless, Romney, they aren't so sure of. All in all be very careful how you vote this time around, this is the most important election we have had in my lifetime and I have been around a while.
