      I agree with staring slow and getting the basics down before tackling the progressive. There is a difference in being able to produce quality over quantity. The more variables you introduce in the beginning then the more room for error.

      Profire Arms & Supply offers a class for beginners. They go over what is needed and what are extras. It's a good class I took it a couple of months ago.

      So tired of rust.

      I know for tools they say to keep a few pieces of chalk in your tool box to prevent rust. Might be worth a try and a cheap fix.

      Taurus Customer Service

      My PT1911 had problems with the rear sight coming loose. after 3x's returning it and almost a year later. They finally replaced the slide. Now it is flawless. best advice is to stay on top of them. They will make it right!

      Not sure on lock tight I'll ask around. The more I look at it the more I think the rear site is off center and turned slightly left.
