Well, damage is done. Ordered the 14.7" upper with MOE lower kit and MI gen 2 free float quad rail and some other goodies....(free shipping for $150+ on MI so yeah) Unfortunately I won't be able to build it since I am away for 3 months, but I'm excited. Just like opening day, it's like...
Wow, I am an idiot. Kinda looked over that one....Thanks for the heads up.
The rail I was looking at requires you to remove the delta ring. Midwest Industries: Gen2 Two Piece Free Float
I think that I've decided on the PSA, thanks for the input guys. Looking at the 14.7 Light Hammer Forged Chrome Lined Midlength upper with the MOE build kit, pinned and welded A2 flash hider. Planning to remove the front sight base and delta ring, throw on a low profile gas block and run a...
Additional note: If I decide to not worry about the rail right now, that drops the price of the PSA build to $700 + shipping and taxes. Installing the rail myself is no biggie, the ones I was looking at were either drop in or just required to cut off the delta ring. I'm hoping to jump on this...
So I'm in a bit of a dilemma, one that we all like to be in, of which AR I should go with. Rock River has their operator 2 rifles for $1000 with free shipping Rock River Arms: NEW! RRA LAR-15 Elite Operator2. Here are the specs of the Elite Operator 2:
16" Chrome Moly Barrel, 1:9 Twist...
Also, I think I know the answer, but it is worth the extra $50 to go with the FN hammer forged CMV as opposed to just their standard CMV barrel? Lightweight, regular or heavy barrel?
Does the handguard have a rail on the bottom that the forward grip is attached to? If no, can you attach some rails for accessories?
I think I would rather have a free-float or drop-in rail handguard, any preferences or recommendations here?
Thanks for all the information so far, very helpful!
I've looked around the forum and online a little bit and have been leaning towards putting together a Palmetto AR. This will be my first build and looking for it to be under a budget, don't really want to spend more than $800, which shouldn't be too difficult by just looking around on their...
FYI: I just got an xd45 and was lucky enough to stumble upon their gearup promotion, with the purchase of any xd or xdm pistol between sept1 and nov30, 2011, they'll send you three mags and a mag holster. I will gladly take $90 worth of mags for "free" whenever I have a chance. See the site for...
Hi everyone, only been in Indiana a couple years now and was lucky enough to be recommended to the site. I've always loved guns and just recently became the proud owner of an xd45. Looking forward to being part of the Indiana Gun Owner experience :rockwoot:
