Getting a gun permit in Muncie

She only has a 15 min lunch, kind of a bad situation for time and such IMO.

Getting a gun permit in Muncie

My sister-in-law is trying to get a gun permit in Muncie. She's called up local PD to do the fingerprinting but they claimed they no longer do it, they referred her to the L1 system. The only problem is she works during the day and none of the local L1 agencies stay open long enough for her to...

      SD9VE

One thing I liked about my SD9VE when I bought the APEX trigger for it is that the trigger wouldn't fit my gun. Apparently there were a few runs of the SD9VE where it wouldn't allow the striker to fall correctly. I called APEX up and asked them why my gun wouldn't fire, they promptly asked what...

      Handgun lockup

I never really thought about it when I bought my M&P so I don't know how tight it was to begin with. Thanks for the answers tho.

      Handgun lockup

So I've bought a FNS 9 recently and was comparing it to my M&P, I noticed the FNS lockup is fairly tight and requires a bit of force to unlock while the M&P (roughly 1500 rds through) is fairly easy to unlock and rack. Do I need to worry about the lockup on my M&P or is the FNS just tight?

      Benchmade H&K Knife

There it is with my H&K P30, she was trying to get something to match my gun I guess. It's the Entourage 14702SBK. She did a great job either way :rockwoot:

      Benchmade H&K Knife

Don't get me wrong, I'm not complaining about it being 440c, I have many knives in 440c that work great. I was just wondering why the price was so high when it's the same metal used on cheaper knives. I like the knife overall, it's hair shaving sharp and has been for a few days even after using...

      Benchmade H&K Knife

Was wondering what people think of the benchmade H&K knives. I received one for Christmas and was slightly taken back by the price of it when it's still a 440c blade.

      Shotgun Red Dot

I understand that a red dot will not illuminate a target, hence why the flashlight is on my list. My choice for a shotgun is not for debate since I didn't ask for opinions on my firearm choice, you do what you do and I'll do what I do, everyone is different. That being said, I'm leaning towards...

      Shotgun Red Dot

I'm assuming the automatic lighting versions will compensate for it being dark.

      Shotgun Red Dot

That was the idea behind the automatic red dots, so I didn't have to turn it off or on, most of which are more expensive models and I'd probably not run into a problem with it failing due to better construction.

      Shotgun Red Dot

Well, I did a run through of my house last night with my handgun that has a fiber optic front sight. Needless to say there was no way to distinguish the front sight from the rest of my house as it was all black. Same thing with the bead on my shotgun, nothing but black. So, that rules fiber...

      Shotgun Red Dot

Ok, well it seems a lot of people don't agree on anything in this question....

      Shotgun Red Dot

That was partially in my intention of getting a red dot however I do believe that only comes on more expensive models.

      Shotgun Red Dot

I just think a red dot would be much easier to track and see visually in a low light situation.

      Shotgun Red Dot

Right now, $300ish, I can save more but it'd take a while. My only problem with Eotechs, used that is, is that you don't know if you're getting the real deal or a knock off these days unless if you buy it from a licensed distributor. I personally don't know how to tell fakes apart from real ones...

      Shotgun Red Dot

This is why I'm asking here, what do you recommend vette? M67 seems to be close to my budget.

      Shotgun Red Dot

I'm building my 870 to be a home defense friendly gun. I've heard that not many red dots will handle the recoil of a 12 gauge, so I'm kinda hesitant to even buy sights like an Eotech after being told the glass will shatter out of them after so many rounds.

      Shotgun Red Dot

I understand the idea of buying a more expensive optic. My problem is, I don't have the money.

      Shotgun Red Dot

I did a quick search to see what has been talked about before on the topic but I didn't see anything that was specific to what I was looking for. Any suggestions on a "cheaper" red dot for a 12 gauge? I'm not rich so I can't afford a $300+ optic sadly. I've heard Vortex are good but I'd rather...
