      Fontanette is about 20 miles north east of Terre Haute. I'm going to start with a general clean up and rust removal. Then plan to replace the nipple and maybe some screws. With a little luck that will be all it needs. Cosmetic issues are yet to be determined.

      if you could have any gun real or fake?

      I would also like to have a semi automatic 300 pound crossbow with laser guided heat seeking broadheads. Would need to have at least a 25 bolt magazine or larger. If I can't find that, 10/22s, 189* levers, and 1911s always make me smile.

      I would really like to mod the kit to fit a pair of mini 14s. Don't know what would be involved or if it is even possible or not.

      I hear ya, This is at the top of my 10/22 wish list. I'll have $450 in the base kit, $400 in donor rifles, and another $150 changing what doesn't suit me. $1000 for a .22 seems a bit excessive but OH WELL!

      This is my work in progress. As you can see it still needs a little. I chose the AERO PRECISION stripped lower mainly because I like the fact it is marked as multi caliber.       Scope for a marlin?

      I have a Tasco 4x32 on one very pleased with it. BSA Contender 6-32x50 on the other. The BSA is great scope but really too much scope for a 22.

      Cheap Scope Recommendation

      Tasco makes decent budget priced scopes. You can probably find a cheap one at WalMart that will get you by for a few more years.
