      The Official 3d Printing thread

Well it's been quite a while since I had posted. I don't print as much as I used to, mostly just out of necessity to supply my drone habit. I usually print with mostly TPU now-a-days. Hope all is well and it's nice to see your still around 1911LY.

      International Space Station

I like to watch it and enjoy it. Tonight's magnitude is supposed to be-2.9. That's pretty bright. I use an app on my android that's called "ISS Detector" Free on the Goode Play Store. It gives a lot of information and also sends notifications.

Can't really chime in as I've only owned one printer. I will say that I learned a lot about the printer when I built mine. When choosing a printer I think something you have to consider is how much you want to mess with it. There are some out there that are pretty much ready to go out of the box...

I'm glad to see some activity in this thread. Just finished printing some light switch locks https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:69806 as I have some switches I like to keep on all the time due to some home automation I have set up.

Been kinda quiet in here lately. I haven't been doing much myself. I am in the process of printing the updated version of my cooling fan shroud. Figured what the heck. Hope all are dong well.

That's the exact problem I had with the titanium. It would cool off so fast the extrusion would all but stop if I ran the cooling fan. Now stainless work great in my machine and I really don't notice a difference in my prints vs brass. The only difference I notice is that I can run the stainless...

On another note I tried a titanium nozzle today because, well, I found them for an awesome price and I thought what the heck. I'm glad I only bought one because when the cooling fan kicked on it would pull the heat out of the titanium nozzle faster than the speed of light. Needless to say I went...

Just like to mention that Amazon has free shipping on a lot of items due to the holiday season. Average time for delivery where I live on items that Amazon handles is about 2 days, including Sunday delivery.

The OE power supply on the Anet is a weak spot. It was the first thing I upgraded. I use the one I took out for bench projects that don't require much load. I would recommend you upgrading power supply and installing a MOFSET for the heatbed as well as soldering the power wires directly to the...

Larry and Robby: It's nice to see you guys are still at it and keeping this thread alive. As far as Banggood it's great when you're not in a hurry or just want to order some extras. And that price on the Ender is awesome. I can see a lot more people getting into 3D printing when a good...

Eric: I have had nothing but good luck with my Anet A8. This thread is full of pictures of my prints with it. I have under $200.00 bucks into it including all the mods. I'm very satisfied with it.

I have dealt with them a lot in the past. I have nothing bad to say about them. Usually takes about 3 weeks to Indianapolis.
