This sounds like a great time! I have only recently started shooting handguns in competition (Bullseye and IDPA twice) but have shot them since the old Navy days ('77-'81)
Would it be possible to "talk" to one of you guys who shoot this to get a feel of how it all works? I read the rules on the Marion County site but was still curious. I'd type it out but it takes forever (I'm a "hunt and pecker" :D) I'll be glad to call you if possible.
    PM me or however.
    Thanx a bunch,
    Chaz
p.s. I shoot (amongst others) a Walther P-99. I saw where someone was going to come early to shoot other guys guns. If I can get there early enough, anyone is welcome to try mine as well. It's a nice piece.

Will send a PM, although there are much more experienced than I.

Sounds like we're going to have a good turnout tomorrow afternoon, and the weather should cooperate. Here's a couple reminders:

    1) TRAFFIC: There is still significant construction on the West side, so please plan accordingly.
    2) BE ON TIME: If you're late (even a little) you don't get to shoot. We make no exceptions here (ask my friends).
    3) MCFG VISITORS: If you're going to come and practice before the match, you must be a club member, or be directly escorted by a member. Non-members must also pay the $10 visitor fee (unless under the age of 18) if shooting before the match.
    4) MCFG MEMBERS: Remember, if you're escorting a visitor, you are responsible for that visitor's behavior. If they break any safety rules, your membership can be suspended / revoked. I tell you this not because I enjoy enforcing the rules, but because I really hate having to suspend / revoke memberships. It's no fun for me, and it's no fun for the people involved.

Tommy2Tone Pm-ed me and helped me with some ???'s. Thanx T2T!!! One of the questions was how I could get around only having 2 mags for my Ruger MKII. He thought there might be someone there that would let me borrow some. ????? I'd definitely appreciate it but if someone had some for sale (reasonable) I'd be interested in that as well so I wouldn't have to borrow.
The other option is my Walther P-99 with 4-16 rd. mags. I love shooting that gun but I JUST had a trigger job done on my MkII and was jones-ing to use it.
    Thoughts?? Thanx,
    Chaz

I'm not sure of your location but I'm willing to bet Bradis in Camby would have some mags for your mkII

    It's actually a MkII Competition Slab Side. 22/45s won't work. :(

I live in Batesville so I am not familiar with any gun shops in Indy but I DO know how to get to Raceway Park! :D So I should be able to find the Range.
Plus, it will be about 1 1/4 hours for me to get there so chances are I will be jammin to get there in time. If I can get away earlier, I'd like to help.
Anyway, no problem guys. I was just wanting to get my new trigger job out and play with it. You know, "new toy syndrome". :D:D:D I'm DEFINITELY not into bummin stuff!!!! That's why I made the offer if someone had some they didn't need anymore.
I know there is a minimum of 5 mags but it's my understanding I might be able to get away with 4-16 rd. mags that I have with my 9. If not, I'll take the ding on time. I'm not trying to prove anything, I just like to shoot and want to try this. Plus, look at the bright side, next time, it will be easy to make a BIG improvement!!!! :): :): :):
    Thanx a bunch,

I will be there to shoot. I will be bringing a Beretta U22 NEOS .22 LR that I have for sale if anyone is interested. I am asking $235.00 for it. Comes with factory case, 2 10 round magazines, books and sight tool. IT is the black version, with the 6 inch barrell. Looks and shoots well, I just have too many toys and not enough $$$$. If I had more money, I'd keep this gun.
