Then lemme axe ya', if it was fairly captured during a war, why is it now improper for people to engage in war to get it back?
Smoking375..... 90% of your posts are spent defending the utterly foolish 10% OP you started with. Time for the ignore button. Have a good life, God Bless You.
Israel has no right to a blockade of Palestinian waters or of international waters.
Israel cannot be more wrong in this incident. We are hurting this country by having a few here who defend them, since the whole world roundly condemns Israel.
I see the support for Israel coming primarily from Jews and neocons. Both are minority components of the country, and neoconservatism has been losing ground since 2006. This may be the death of it, thankfully.
It's not, necessarily. This was captured by a war of aggression against Israel, who gave it back, according to an agreement. That agreement was then immediately violated.
We can argue the "international community's" legitimacy, but that community has been involved in this issue from the beginning. Israel has been the constant victim of aggression, and then criticized by that same community. Their attempts at peace agreements have been rejected, or accepted and then violated with impunity.
I think Israel has shown entirely too much restraint and too much respect for international opinion.

Oh, now, that's a shipload of chutzpah, if ever there was. Rich, that.
Id. Is your tongue in your cheek with this?
They only exist, at all, because of international opinion. If the world knew what they'd have become, they would never have been given the land grant.
They exist because God wanted them to exist.OThey only exist, at all, because of international opinion. If the world knew what they'd have become, they would never have been given the land grant.
What a mess.
Only thing that might be more of a mess would be if US forces raided and killed people on a peace mission armed with steal poles and molotov cocktails.
I'd rather the Israelis not kill people armed with steal poles and molotov cocktails, but better them than us.
Justifiable blockade or not, it's just bad press to shoot people delivering non-weapons. Unless I missed somewhere that the dead folks had small arms or something.
There are only two sides here, with no middle ground. You either think Hamas, Hezbollah and the others are right in ther stated and sworn goals to completely erase Israel from the map and kill all jews, in which case you should GTFO of my country and go join your terrorist brothers, or you believe Israel is right to defend themselves against a bunch of lying, murderous terrorists who have violated or ignored every attempt at peace extended to them, because they've sworn to their god to not quit until Israel is completely destroyed.
Which is it?
That is uncalled for.GTFO of my country and go join your terrorist brothers
They exist because God wanted them to exist.
This is an example of my problem with you. Instead of answering my points, you make statements as if my points were so far out there that you don't need to address them, and then you raise other points, which if I were to counter, I suspect you would do the same.
Answer my points if you want to argue this, don't give me the driveby bumper sticker and then move on to inciting someone else.
Israel uses the UN when it suits them and ignores it when it doesn't.
Great article on the massacre:
Israel attacks aid ship, kills at least 10 civilians - Glenn Greenwald - Salon.com
Even better news: the Turkish Navy is escorting the next Freedom Flotilla to protect it from the Israeli pirates. The Israelis have no right to board another ship in international waters, and if the Israelis enter Gaza waters, Hamas can permit the Turkish Navy to repel and sink all Israeli intruding vessels.
I can't stop laughing over Savage Eagle's comment that condemnation of Israel's crimes is a minority view. I would suggest that more gun owners closely follow international news and opinion.
Nope...not at all.Is this a joke?
Unfortunately...not so much anymore. Is this sort of thinking guiding our political decisions?
