So today, I need to send out a package. I go out to the garage and find a box that's the perfect size. I pack it, and just when I'm getting ready to tape it shut I notice that I might have a slight problem. Anyone else think that this might be red flag? Lesson: Be careful when reusing the box...
Do you guys have any favorite online gun retailers?
I’ve been looking for a Mossberg 930 and have checked all my usual suspects (ky gun co, cabelas, sportsman’s warehouse, sportsman’s superstore, Buds) and everyone is sold out. I guess everyone else has the same concerns I do.
thanks
Point Blank in Greenwood has HK VP40s for 509.97. Never shot the 40, but I like my 9. I imagine that the 40 shoots well. If I'm not mistaken, HK also has a 4 free mag offer going. And normally, they are very proud of their magazines.
Great story with a happy ending

But how can that be since handguns are never used in self defense?
That's 30 minutes of work I managed to do in only 5 hours. I think it was worth it. I understand a lot better how it all works. Provided that when I get my upper it all works.

This is pretty cool. Don't know if it has been posted before. I searched slow motion and Vickers Tactical and didn't find anything. If it has, sorry.
I was at a LGS yesterday when I ran into a guy who said he was trying to sell his xds45 but they were low balling him with a $250 offer. I asked him what he was looking to get and he said $600 from an individual but he'd take $400-450 from a shop. Is it common to run into people selling at gun...
Until I purchase a handgun, I've been renting at the local ranges. They seem to have a policy that you have to use their ammo. Does this typically apply to all shooters or just rental guns?
Thanks
In my search for my first HD/CC handgun, last week I rented a 38 J frame. I found it snappy? But fun. This week I rented an S&W M&P 9mm. It seemed to shoot much easier. But what a PITA to load.
My question. Did the S&W shoot easier because it's a 9mm or a semiautomatic? Or some combination?
Was hoping to get the chance to rent/shoot another gun this weekend in my search for my first home defense/CC gun. Tried a J frame last week. Was thinking of a compact .40 this week. Anyone have other suggestions?
Looks like Illinois will have to follow through on concealed carry. Sorry if this is a repost, looks like is was from today.

Took the members' advise and went to Indy Trading Post today. Rented a J Frame (a Taurus, the S&W was malfunctioning). Great fun and learned a lot. Very slow and deliberate. Managed to put 10 of my first 15 in the 10 spot at a whopping 7 yards.

Guy named Adam took the time to walk me through revolvers and semis. Didn't have time to shoot but will probably go back and shoot various models and calibers to get a feel for what I want. Will probably also swing by Bradis to see what they have. I've heard good things about them.
Thought I better introduce myself so the site will stop yelling at me telling me I haven't posted yet.
My name is Robert and I live in Carmel. Pushing 50. Have thought about getting a gun for years, but with all the recent pub I decided to do it now. Already applied for my LTCH, so in the...
