I have two guns for sale. -A .38 snubby that has a stuck cylinder/trigger. The hammer has tension but doesn't stay back. When I got the revolver I put a few rounds through it and it took about 50 lbs of force to fire it. It locked up after I ejected the casings and it won't open back up. $50...

Loud explosion/noise in Indianapolis just before 5 am?

Am I the only one who heard this? Just before 5 am this morning (Monday) my wife and I were woken up by a loud booming noise, shortly after which our power flickered. Nothing can be found on the news, anyone else hear this?:n00b:

Homemade Vinegaroon Leather "Dye" w/ pics

Latest addition to the holster family... Made for a friend's PPK using an airsoft gun. Fit was spot on. I obviously need to work on my stitching a bit... I do think the vinegaroon looks halfway decent. The picture doesn't do it justice.

Homemade Vinegaroon Leather "Dye" w/ pics

It's very easy, simply apply with a brush, rag, etc. The true beauty of this is that it won't stain anything else. You can stitch with white thread before dyeing and still retain that nice contrast. Also, you will never run out of it.

Homemade Vinegaroon Leather "Dye" w/ pics

I have been messing with leather for some time, and decided to try my hand at dying it. I don't want to spend money on things, it just goes against my sense of "do-it-yourself". That being said, I discovered an online tutorial on making "Vinegaroon", an old-fashioned method to turning leather...

      Need to borrow a PPK...

I'm planning on making a IWB holster for a friend for christmas, but need something to form the leather to. Does someone have a Walther PPK that I can bum off you for a half hour or so in the Kokomo area? The gun will be completely protected during the molding process. Or better yet, does anyone...

      Firearm transfer

Federal law states that an individual must be 21 to purchase from a licensed dealer. So if he wants to buy from a gun shop he needs to be 21. However, in Indiana if he wants to purchase a gun in a private transaction, he needs only be 18. All of my handguns I bought before 21 in private...

Purchasing a handgun, what can I do?

I have purchased all of my handguns from INGO members, all of which I did before I was 21.

Purchasing a handgun, what can I do?

No. That is considered to be a straw purchase, where he is buying it with the intention of giving it to you. That is illegal. Don't buy from a dealer, meet someone you trust from INGO who has a gun you like. Face to face transfers are legal in Indiana.

      transporting firearms through ohio?

If you do not have a carry license/permit that is recognized by Ohio, then you must have the guns AND the magazines/speedloaders unloaded. Where the ammo is at is irrelevant, you can have a range bag with all the ammo and magazines in it, as long as the mags are unloaded.

      Any woodworkers on here?

what size are we talking here? I've turned green wood on the lathe before, and once you are done with the rough turning, you put it in a bag smothered in vegetable oil. Let it set for several days, reapplying the oil often. Basically, the oil replaces the water in the wood and helps stabilize it.

Concealed Carry on Campus and Campus Violence

Preaching to the choir, dasprung, preaching to the choir. While the colleges themselves may put rules in place forbidding it, carrying on a college campus in Indiana is NOT illegal. So basically, you can be expelled but not charged with anything. Some people may tell you that "concealed means...

Good places to rappel 'near' to central Indy?

Thanks for the info all, I'm looking it up as we speak. I was under the impression that rapelling was illegal in state parks, but of course that does not apply here, and the Hoosier National Forest website states that rapelling is allowed. Excellent.
