INGO & MGO (Michigan Gun Owners) Collaboration

Hi, as President of the Edwardsburg Conservation Club, I/we would welcome a 'get to together' shoot. I don't want to 'hi-jack' what pyzik is wanting to do, so I'll give him a nudge to keep working on this. Sounds like fun. Later, Bob

      Conceal Carry Argument with Girlfriend

I would keep carrying with one in the pipe and if she asks, just say yes and drop the subject. Personally, until I find the correct rock that fits my holster, I will carry one in the pipe. Later, Bob

I should have been in bed hours ago. Reading Handgun Laws, MI specific.

One word, Spelled the same. Pronounced the same. Two way different meanings. Love'em both. Later, Bob

Cedartop has it nailed pretty good. Current 'hotspot' to stay out of while OC'ing is Grand Rapids proper. The mayor and his minion police force can't seem to be able to read and follow the laws. A lawsuit has been filed and we await the outcome. Most of the other towns and cities seem to have a...

CSJ, sorry to have 'hit and ran' but it's been hectic here. All of the so called PFZ except court rooms and federal buildings are OC if you have a CPL in MI. That means, all public schools, day cares or child placing agency's, sports arenas or stadiums, churches, hospitals, dorms or classrooms...

Wrong!! You must have a CPL in order to OC in a school. Please show me the cite that says you can OC in a school without a CPL.

      Shoot / Don't Shoot

To the OP, you asked the question, now you have several answers. All that proves is that everybody will react differently in every case and for different reasons. Would I shoot? More than likely. Would I try to place myself in a better position so if the bullet would not pass through the person...

      OC in Michigan

Shiban, In order to open carry without a permit in MI, you must be a resident of MI. No longer need the safety inspection, but the hand gun must be registered to the person that is open carrying. Whole different set of rules apply to open carrying without a concealed pistol license. Later, Bob

      OC in Michigan

As long as you have a valid permit from the state in which you reside, you can either open or conceal carry. If you get 'stopped' by the police, you must notify that you have a permit and you are carrying. Have a good time and carry often. Bob

Michigan moving in right direction. Wow

drillsgt, most if not all police and sheriff's Dept's have a reserve unit. Yea we do the parades, ball games at the schools, etc. We also ride with a full time officer and as such, we are their back-up. The dept. I am with, some of the reserves are able to do traffic stops, enforce the township...

Now if we can get the gov. to sign it. Cost of class is $150-200. 8 hours long and fire 94 rounds. As a reserve police officer, I already have the exemption, however I may not always be a reserve, so I will have to take the class to keep it. Later, Bob T-Frost: with a CPL, yes, we can open carry...
