Definitely an idea long overdue. The video makes the very valid point of just who it is that pays those taxes anyway.
Trickle down economics works both ways...
That makes sense though, buckshot and other projectiles from a typical shotgun barrel have no spin. I would assume that smoothbore black powder weapons would behave the same way, and the spin from the rifling is what is kicking the round off in a particular direction.
Fiero: Yes.
Skipped: Yes.
Pretty spectacular to watch actually.
For the skeptic, try this:
Find a pond or pool or really any amount of water with a couple inches depth (bathtub will do in a pinch). You need enough depth so that you don't immediately hit the bottom of the "container."
Make...
Quite good actually, left it BONE dry though. There was a plastic piece that broke and gunked things up in the action (oil+plastic bits= PITA to remove).
My father-in-law (his gun actually) thought we could flush out the action with some brake cleaner (worked well) except that what ran down...
Brake cleaner will DESTROY any finish on wooden parts.
Don't ask how I know...
Though the refinish job on that gun came out awful purdy :wwub:
My Yugo M48 clone is smooth as butter, seriously, but it wasn't when I got it.
Bolt disassembly and interior cleaning go a LONG way. After I did that, it was a HUGE improvement.
Hmm, sad to see that about J&Js, every time I've been in there they were very friendly. Bought my '92 there for that matter...
Nice play in the Primitive Peddler...my wife LOVES the primitive stuff, now I can take her there and disappear to the "back" :)
Har har :p
No stranger to death (farm kid), but just not something I'm going to go out of my way to see, that and plate glass just isn't very bullet resistant.
News this morning was that he strangled his wife due to impending divorce. Apparently she worked for the law firm in that building...
Happened across the street from my building. Heard a pop/bang (like a car crash more than anything), then another.
Then I peeked out the window (dumb), saw an armed man on the top rail of the garage and decided that I wanted more between me and the action than a couple pieces of glass.
Didn't...
I hadn't had my Mauser out in a while, I can really tell the difference between it an my M44, I put a plain-jane shotgun pad on the M44 and it really softens the blow.
Got everything cleaned up and shiny yesterday afternoon before putting it away. Now I know I NEED an M1 :)
See everybody in the morning
Wifey has the van, so I only have 1 extra seat for anyone in/passing through the Columbus area that wants a ride (or to follow, I know where things are). PM me, I'll check for sure at least once after 10 tonight and I can respond with more immediate contact details...
