      450 Bushmaster

Put a few rounds thru my 20" upper this week. 3 shots @ 50 yds into 5/8" C2C, 3 shots at 100 into 1.0", 10 shots at 100 under 2" (pulled a couple, rest one big hole). Used both a standard spring and buffer and a JP captured spring system. Getting the occasional round not fully ejecting, hanging...

      My 358/25 WSSM Project

Hav you tried any Rel-10X? With approx. 46gr I'm getting a little over 2800fps in a 24" Encore with the Barnes 180TTSX in my BFG.... YMMV of course!

Found a 45-70 taper crimp die!

Yes, I'm using the standard length for the Hornady 325 FTX rounds in a Marlin SS Guide Gun with a ported barrel. Not real impressed with the load yet, tried pulling bullets from factory rounds and using the weight verified powder in shortened cases but no consistency at all. Going to try some...

Found a 45-70 taper crimp die!

Because with the case shortened to 1.8" long there is no cannellure to roll crimp into. Isn't the Lee factory crimp die doing a taper crimp?

Found a 45-70 taper crimp die!

Lyman makes a 45 caliber black powder cartridge crimp die that seems to work great on my 1.8" Indiana legal 45-70 cases. Just wanted to pass that along.... I got mine from Midway for under $30.

      585 HE -- Cases In Production --

Hmmmmm...... I wonder how a 585HE case shortened to 1.8" and necked down to 35 caliber in a bolt gun throated for a Barnes 180 gr TTSX would compare ballistically to some of the other wildcats we have been playing with for Indiana deer.....

      Ruger LCR Review

I have three of these - 22 Mag and 357 Mag LCR and a 38 +P LCRx. All have the <$100 LaserMax trigger guard lasers. Wouldnt trade any of them for a different maker. Mine all shoot very well. Are extremely light for pocket carry. And the DA trigger pulls around 7 pounds are better than any...

Any experience with Vortex Optics 6-24 x50mm Viper PST Riflescope EBR-1 MOA?

Aside from the amount of adjustment you need for your caliber at 1000 yds (no idea there), my HST and PST 6-24's have superior clarity and repeatable adjustments better than big names costing 2-3 times as much. And their warranty and support can't be beat. never compared anything to a NF, my...

      Burris FastFire II or III

I love my III. Only issue was getting to the control button with fat fingers so I got out a larger notch in the plastic snap on hood and problem solved!

Mag Tactical Nano 9mm Carbine from Centerfire Review!!

I think I'll stick with my Scorpion EVO 3, more expensive but I guess you get what you pay for LOL

Advice - tactical shotguns for home defense

Nice Saiga! Never shot one but have admired from afar....

      Let's be careful out there

Having shot a lot of USPSA/IPSC in past years I fully understand how easy it would be to make the same error. Sitting down in front of the old 650 and cranking out a bunch of 38 Supercomp rounds then running them thru the chamber gauge was almost auto pilot mode. You're a very lucky man!

Question - Trigger replacement on an older Remy 700

Absolutely none that I'm aware of. I just always get a trigger with a built in/already installed safety.

      How fast are muzzle loaders?

Should be 2150-2200 but a chrono will tell you for sure.
